  BOAT TRAILERS – Italy


The Ellebi trailers are made using the most advanced technologies and are in complete accordance with the technical requirements by the Common Market regulations.

The materials used (hot galvanized sheet iron and specific alluminium alloys) are carefully chosen so that the trailers are in no way subject to rust.

The wide range of models offered and the large choice of accessories available enable our company to fully satisfy all aspects of the very diversified demand, from the transport of boats to the transport of goods, from cars to motorcycles or animals etc..

The use of small diameter tyres but with big capacity makes it possible to have wide load decks with low barycentre.

The suspension system has a "progressive stiffness" obtained by using big diameter and varying pitch springs, which can guarantee the absorption of stress and ground irregularities. This is all to advantage of  cargo integrity and safety. (The "variable pitch" effect is appreciated especially with unladen vehicle because it avoids the classic case of "jumping" and favours the grip).

Moreover it has been adopted a cross bar of connection between the wheels, which is able to guarantee a right effect of stabilizing bar, besides the wheels’ steady trim with change of load. This is all to advantage of safety.

The braking system, which complies with EEC rules, uses drum brakes with (patented) automatic device for the engagement and the disengagement of reverse and also enables an easy setting of the friction gasket stroke (shoes) according to the wear degree.

The action of the handbrake is guaranteed and facilitated by a system which can to stop the trailer in every condition with a simple manoeuvre by means of a gas spring, which is sheltered from accidental shocks.

 


 

LBN 310 / LBN 520

The chassis is made by using shaped crossbars provided with side fasteners in order to lower the loading platform, thus improving the trailer stability and facilitating the boat launching and towing. Furthermore, the fixing system to the side-members enables a quick shifting of the cross bars to better adapt them to the transported boat. The crossbars are fixed to the side-members by means of fasteners which allow a rapid and easy shifting, according to the transported boat.

The suspension system is provided with a connection crossbar between the wheels which can guarantee a steady trim of the wheels with different loads, as well as a proper stabilizing effect to improve safety.

The braking system complies with the latest EEC legislation, it consists of drum brakes with an automatic (patented) device for the reverse disengagement, thus allowing an easy setting of the friction gasket stroke (shoes), according to the wear degree.

The action of the hand brake is guaranteed and facilitated by a system which can stop the trailer in every condition with a simple manoeuvre, thanks to a gas spring sheltered from accidental impacts.

The electrical system complies with latest EEC legislation and provides both rear fog warning and side lights

The folding system of the one-axle trailers facilitates the boat launching and towing.

Mudguards are placed under a "climbing ramp" which can be used for the tie-up and inspections of the transported boat.

 

The suspension system presents a "progressive stiffness" obtained by using big diameter and variable pitch springs which can either absorb the stress produced by uneven ground (with unloaded vehicle) and bear heavy loads. At the same time, the boat integrity and the vehicle safety are ensured. (It is common knowledge that in the current systems - the lower the trailer empty weight the greater the effect of "jumping" by the unloaded trailer giving consequent loss of grip).

 

The rear signals are fitted on a large cross bar and comply with the latest EEC legislation. The bar can house both the car number-plate and/or the trailer number-plate. The bar is fixed to the chassis by means of removable tubes which can be adjusted by hand (without any tool), according to transported boat.

The accessories required to support the boat have their metal parts protected (where possible) by zinc-plating and are suitably designed according to the trailer structure to enable a suitable housing of most boat models available on the market.
